Albert William Carmines

Albert William Carmines was an Episcopal priest, composer, and pioneering figure in the American liturgical folk music movement. Serving at St. Clement's Episcopal Church in New York City, he collaborated with playwright Megan Terry to create influential liturgical musicals and hymns that connected biblical themes with contemporary worship. His congregational songs, including Many Gifts One Spirit, became widely used across Protestant denominations.
