Biography
Bentley DeForest Ackley was an American gospel musician, pianist, editor, and hymn-tune composer. He was the older brother of Alfred Henry Ackley and worked with the evangelistic music ministries connected with Billy Sunday and Homer Rodeheaver. Hymnary identifies him as the composer of the tune for In the Service of the King, dated 1912.
