Bianco da Siena

Bianco da Siena was an Italian mystic and member of the Jesuati religious order in fourteenth century Siena. His devotional poetry emphasized divine love, spiritual purification, and union with God. His Italian hymn texts later entered English hymnody through translations, most notably Come Down, O Love Divine.
