Charles W. Fry

Charles W. Fry, born William Charles Fry, was a British Salvation Army officer and hymn writer. He contributed several gospel hymns that combined biblical imagery with accessible language for evangelistic meetings. His hymn The Lily of the Valley became one of the most enduring tunes of early Salvation Army literature.
