Edward Hopper

Edward Hopper was an American Presbyterian minister and hymn writer who served congregations in New York City during the nineteenth century. His pastoral ministry included outreach to sailors and maritime communities which influenced the imagery of his hymns. Jesus Savior Pilot Me remains his best known hymn expressing trust in Christ's guidance.
