Ernest F. McGregor

Ernest F. (Ernest Frank) McGregor was a Yale‑educated Congregationalist minister who served as pastor of the First Congregational Church in Norwalk, Connecticut, for over three decades. A scholar in biblical studies and early church history, he wrote hymns intended to deepen the liturgical and theological life of his congregation. He is best known for the Palm Sunday processional "Lift High The Triumph Song Today," which traces the journey of Christ from the Mount of Olives to the cross.
