Frederick Herman Kaan

Frederick Herman Kaan, known as Fred Kaan, was a Dutch born minister and influential twentieth century hymn writer. After experiencing the turmoil of World War II in the Netherlands, he later served congregations in Britain and became known for socially aware and theologically thoughtful hymn texts. Kaan translated and adapted numerous hymns for English speaking churches.
