George Wallace Briggs

George Wallace Briggs was an Anglican priest, hymn writer, and liturgical scholar in the Church of England. He served as Canon of Worcester Cathedral and contributed significantly to twentieth century hymnody. His hymn God Hath Spoken by the Prophets reflects a strong emphasis on biblical justice and the continuing voice of God's word in society.
