George Whitefield Chadwick

George Whitefield Chadwick was an American composer teacher and church musician associated with the New England school of composers. He served as director of the New England Conservatory and contributed to both sacred and secular music traditions. His hymn tune PEACE became associated with the devotional text I Sought the Lord.
