Isao Koizumi

Isao Koizumi was a Japanese composer musicologist and church musician known for his contributions to Japanese Christian hymnody. His compositions integrated elements of Western hymn traditions with musical sensitivity to Asian contexts. The tune TOKYO helped bring international attention to the hymn Here, O Lord, Your Servants Gather.
