Ludie Carrington Day Pickett

Ludie Carrington Day Pickett was an American hymn writer and educator. Hymnary identifies her as born at Bayou Tunica, Louisiana, educated at Mansfield Female College, and later connected with Asbury College in Wilmore, Kentucky. Several hymnals and hymn indexes credit her with the text of I've Seen the Lightning Flashing, dated 1897.
