Luther Orlando Emerson

Luther Orlando Emerson was an American composer, teacher, and compiler of church music collections. He contributed significantly to nineteenth century American hymnody and musical education. His tune Leighton became associated with the evening hymn God, That Madest Earth and Heaven.
