Manie Payne Ferguson

Manie Payne Ferguson was an Irish-born American hymn writer and holiness worker. She and her husband Theodore Pollock Ferguson were associated with the Peniel Mission in Los Angeles. Her hymn Blessed Quietness reflects the Holiness movement's emphasis on the abiding work of the Holy Spirit, sanctification, assurance, and inner peace.
