Michael Joncas

Michael Joncas is an American Roman Catholic priest, liturgical theologian, composer, and author associated with the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis. He completed graduate study in liturgy at the University of Notre Dame and was ordained to the priesthood in 1980. He is best known for “On Eagle’s Wings,” a Psalm 91-based song first sung in the mid-1970s and published in 1979.
