PADERBORN is a German hymn tune drawn from the Paderborn Gesangbuch of 1765. In English-language hymnals it has been used for Charles Wesley's Communion hymn Because Thou Hast Said, where its broad, dignified phrases support the text's Eucharistic confidence and devotional simplicity.
