Richard Joseph Proulx

Richard Joseph Proulx was an American Roman Catholic composer and liturgical musician known for his contributions to contemporary sacred music. He composed numerous hymn tunes, psalm settings, and choral works used widely in Catholic and ecumenical worship. Proulx was especially influential in shaping liturgical music after the Second Vatican Council. His settings of biblical canticles helped congregations participate more deeply in scriptural song.
