Thomas Kelly Cheyne

Thomas Kelly Cheyne was an English Anglican priest, biblical scholar, and occasional hymn writer whose work reflects the intersection of scholarship and worship in the late nineteenth century church. Born in London, he studied at Oxford and later became a respected professor of biblical interpretation. Cheyne contributed extensively to Old Testament scholarship and was involved in the development of critical approaches to biblical study in Victorian England.
