Uzziah Christopher Burnap

Uzziah Christopher Burnap was an American church musician, editor, and hymn-tune adapter active in nineteenth-century hymnody. He is associated with adapting material from William Vincent Wallace’s Waft, Ye Winds into the hymn tune SERENITY. His work helped make the tune usable for congregational hymn singing.
